Shepherd's Gate Shelter for Women

God directs us to take care of people who are especially vulnerable in our communities.  Shepherd's Gate is a wonderful ministry dedicated to helping homeless women and children by providing for their basic needs in a safe, loving environment.  They also provide a professional, comprehensive, Christ-centered program that helps the women recover from their inner wounds and build new, healthier lives.  Shepherd's Gate has invited Forgiveness Ministries to be a part of that recovery program.  We contribute by leading a forgiveness small group once a year using our "Developing a Lifestyle of Forgiveness" study book.  Many of the women have stated that this part of the program was among the most helpful and life-changing part of their experience.

Of course, as a not-for-profit ministry themselves, Shepherd's Gate is unable to compensate Forgiveness Ministries for the time involved in facilitating these small groups.  It costs approximately $25 per woman per meeting.  The forgiveness group meets thirteen times for a total of $325.  You may sponsor a woman for any number of meetings.  Thank you for doing so.
